[ Marketing leader ]

I build the system. Then I run it.

18+ years building revenue-driving marketing programs across financial services, franchise, and agency work. Most recently led a six-person team running marketing for a national generator franchise across 30 markets. Before that, four promotions in seven years at a 150,000-member credit union.

Currently exploring my next in-house leadership role. Open to select consulting work.

[ How I work ]

The pattern, every time

[ Identify ]

I look for the gap nobody's owned yet, whether that's a missing lifecycle program, an unfilled video capability, or a follow-up system that doesn't exist. The gap is usually obvious once someone bothers to look.

[ Build ]

I design the system and prove it myself first, often by doing the work directly, before asking for headcount or budget. Results come before the ask.

[ Scale ]

Once it works, I grow the team and the footprint, market by market, channel by channel, without losing the quality bar that made it work in the first place.

[ Hand off ]

I build systems to run without me: documented, repeatable, owned by the team. Then I move to the next problem.

[ About ]

Oscar Lara

I'm a Houston-based marketing leader with 18+ years across digital marketing, content strategy, lifecycle email, video production, and multi-channel campaign management. I've spent my career on both sides of the table: seven years inside a 150,000-member credit union, and several more running agency-side marketing for a national franchise client. I'm just as comfortable setting strategy as producing the work myself.

Eagle Scout. University of Houston, B.B.A. in Marketing.
